10-22-25   THOUGHTS

David recognizes God as the One to direct his paths.  He appropriately lifts up his soul to his Lord!  Trustful waiting is David’s nature.  Knowing the Lord is everything to him.   David ends by noting that it has always been God’s compassion and lovingkindneses toward His creation that have been remembered.  

Ps 25:1-6    To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.  2  O my God, in You I trust, Do not let me be ashamed; Do not let my enemies exult over me. 3  Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.  4  Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. 5  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.  6  Remember, O LORD, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses, For they have been from of old.

Our Prayer:
O God, we praise and honor and thank You for Your compassion and loving kindness toward us.  Lead us in Your truth and teach us as we wait always for knowing You and Your ways.  May we be as the thirsty deer that pants for the water.  Keep us strong in memory as we think on Your greatness toward  us.   How great and awesome You are, O God of eternity, heaven and earth.
